Game Overview and Strategy
DECODE is an FTC challenge focused on collecting, sorting, and and scoring artifacts, 5-inch green and purple plastic ball. The challenge comes from optimizing both the collection and scoring of these artifacts into team specific goals.
The game consists of two period, Autonomous, and TeleOp. During autonomous, the robot must move without driver intervention, collecting artifacts from predetermined zones, and launching them into the goal. Additional points can be scored if the color order of the artifacts matches the randomized motif.
Meet the Robots
This is Hornet- the first and only robot the Steel Talons team used for the 2025-2026 FTC Season. It features a 4 wheel GoBuilda drivetrain and a GoBuilda Pinpoint Odometry computer with 2 Odometry Wheels.
This is BlueJai, named after team member Jai T.
